Gambia’s Jammeh Crowned King

(JollofNews) – President Yahya Jammeh of the Gambia has given himself ‘The Sea Crowning King’ title. Mr Jammeh who came to power in a military coup in 1994 and is governing the West African nation with an iron fist now wants to be address as ‘His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh Nasirul Deen Babili Mansa’.
No reasons were given for the new title but many Gambians believe they are a sign of Mr Jammeh trying to install himself as King of the Gambia.
