Sacked Gambian Tourism Minister Named Ambassador

FATOU (JollofNews) – A Gambian minister who was Thursday removed from her post as minister of Tourism and Culture has been named as the

country’s ambassador to Malaysia.
Fatou Mass Jobe-Njie, a former banker with Standard Chattered Bank and Bank PHB, will be the Gambia’s first permanent representative in the Asian kingdom.
Her appointment is expected to further increased cooperation between the two countries in the areas of culture, technology, trade and economy.
As one of the least developed countries in Africa, the Gambia has enjoyed fruitful relationship with Malaysia and many Gambians have benefitted from education and training packages.
