The UDP is also relying on this video of Gambia’s transport minister Ebrima Sillah as another material of huge evidentiary significance to its charges of electoral malpractices against the NPP.
Shortly after the general registration of voters, NPP officials, including Mr. Sillah and the party’s regional chairman for West Coast Lamin Jatta, had a media engagement during which, the broadly smiling Sillah was heard saying Mr. Jatta did not want “me to disclose everything because some facts are our secrets”.
He added: “But I can just scrape the surface. What I can say is that for the NPP, there’s no regret and we have no fear.
“The effort we’ve employed in this registration and what we’ve seen in our hands.
“We have no fears and I know on 5th December, some will be wondering how it happened.”
