The Point V Philip Kotey was dealt a setback on Thursday following the absence of the magistrate from court.
The case was adjourned to today for continuation following the cross-examination yesterday of Baba Hydara.
The Point newspaper and its estranged general manager are currently in court after the paper lodged a complaint with the police that Mr. Kotey has stolen D2,734,000.00 and a motor vehicle valued at D200,000 from the company.
However, the case could not proceed today as Principal Magistrate Omar Jabang was said to be attending an official function.
