(JollofNews) – President Yahya Jammeh of the Gambia has fired the country’s minister of Planning and Policy barely three months after his appointment.
Burama Kebba Sagnia was sent packing from his office on Tuesday morning by the Gambian leader without any explanation.
A statement from the President’s Office said his removal was in accordance with the provisions of the country’s constitution.
Mr Sagnia who previously held various senior government positions including permanent secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was appointed to the newly created ministry last October by President Jammeh.
His successor has not been named.
