A UK-based Gambian hospital staff has died after testing positive of the deadly coronavirus.
Momodou Dibba, who worked as a housekeeper at Watford General Hospital, died last Wednesday.
According to the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust ,Dibba is the seventh confirmed Covid-19 death of NHS workers who were either working, or formerly working at the hospital trust.
“Anyone who knew Mo would know how kind, caring and considerate he was to patients and staff,” the trust said in a statement published in the Watford Observer.
“He would go above and beyond for everyone, organising staff leaving parties and supporting everyone in their roles. He will be sorely missed.”
Dibba joined the trust in 2013 and was mainly known for serving Letchmore ward, and more recently Langley ward before his death.
According to the trust, Dibba also took on other roles at the hospital including working in the reception at the Emergency Surgery Assessment Unit (ESAU) after his shifts finished and at weekends.
