Gambia’s Coronavirus Cases Rise To 1689 As 66 New Cases Registered 

The Gambia has registered 66 new cases of coronavirus bringing the total number of confirmed in the country to1689.

According to figures from the country’s Ministry of Health, during the period dating 15th August, four people have died from the disease, taking the death toll 54 since March 2020.

Health officials say despite the surge in cases, more people are recovering from the disease.

It added that 347 have been treated and discharged for coronavirus since March while 1288 are being treated.

It said 345 people are in quarantine where they are being monitored for any symptoms of the disease.
