President Adama Barrow is expected to lay the foundation stone for the construction of a hotel on the property where former Anti-Crime Unit was headquartered amid intense ownership struggle.
The Gambia government is currently locked in a bitter ownership struggle with the Global Home of Medical Mission (GHMM), which won two legal battles against it over the issue.
The OIC Gambia Secretariat has announced that Mr. Barrow will lay the foundation stone for the construction of a 400-bed luxury hotel in anticipation of the meeting of leaders of Islamic states and governments.
OIC Gambia Secretariat said the President will lay the foundation stone on July 16.
The question frequently asked by many since this announcement is that: Will Barrow indeed go ahead with the planned July 16th event despite court verdicts that the property indeed belongs to Global Home of Medical Mission (GHMM)?
