Seven Arraigned For Violating Food Safety Act

Four women and two men were on Tuesday arraigned at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court on three-count charges, bordering on food safety.

The seven suspects, arrested in Abuko two weeks ago for allegedly using car tires to roast cow hides, will now undergo trial following their not-guilty pleas to charges of violating section 28 of Food Safety Act and Section 37 of the Act, which obliged food business operators to prepare food in a way fit for human consumption.
