Officials of Basse Area Council Visit Flood Victims

Officials of Basse Area Council on Wednesday visited victims of last Sunday’s floods.

As part of its distress relief interventions, the council today presented food items to the governor of URR for distribution to the victims.

The items were subsequently distributed to the beneficiaries through the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) and Red Cross.

Meanwhile, Basse Area Council has urged the central government and the private sector to contribute to the relief efforts.
