Applicants With Only Voter’s Cards Turned Away From Birth Registration Centres

Birth registration officers have been turning away applicants who could not support their claim of Gambian citizenship with any other document than voter’s card, sources hinted JollofNews.

Applicants without any other documents other than voter’s card have been reportedly showing up at registration centres.

Sources revealed that most of these applicants could not provide any evidence of Gambian citizenship.
