‘Nigerians Trafficked To Gambia On Promise Of Jobs But End Up Being Prostituted’

One of the suspected 11 Nigerian sex workers arrested on Friday has reportedly told the police that some of her colleagues came to The Gambia with the impression that there were jobs and lucrative businesses to absorb them.

The suspects, who would be later transferred to the Police Intervention Unit(PIU) for further investigation, have been reportedly told by their traffickers that once in The Gambia, they would be involved in lucrative businesses and jobs.
