Justice Bakre of the Banjul High Court has advised against dragging The Gambia down the path that Africa’s sleeping giant have taken, expressing the hope that both Momodou Sabally and Dr. Abubakary Jawara “will see The Gambia”.
“Both the plaintiff and defendant are young. I think they will see The Gambia. The potentials of the country is good,” Justice Bakre said when Sabally and Dr. Jawara met at the court for the second time last Friday.
“I don’t want to see this country go down the path of Nigeria. Sit down and think about how to develop this country. All these personal things will not take us anywhere. This is a wonderful country with potentials. You have the potential to develop this country. It shall be well,” he added.
