The majority of the population in Kerr Mamma village in Niumi, Lower River Region (LRR) of the Gambia, is Muslim; yet, access to a place of worship was a major issue in the remote settlement until GACH CEO offered to donate D500,000 towards the construction of a mosque.
The State House Imam Alhaji Mustapha Jallow, a native of Kerr Mamma Village and Chairman of the Alhaji Mamma Jallow Foundation, accepted the donation.
Alhajie Bun Jallow made the opening remarks during the ceremony and complimented the GACH Boss for saving the day with such an unexpected act of kindness during a time of greater need.
Alhagie Sheriff Jallow, Imam of Kerr Mamma Central Mosque, discusses the value of devoting one’s hard-earned money to the advancement of Islam, pointing out that Dr. Jawara was the first to give the community a substantial donation of money to build a mosque.
Reiterating that the mosque is in dire need of immediate restoration, he expresses gratitude to the GACH Boss for his prompt involvement.
According to Imam Jallow, the awful harshness that the waterways generate is the reason why the community experiences horrible nightmares during the rainy season.
“Today we can proudly call Dr. Abubakary Jawara our son who wipes the tears of his people and he will continue to be blessed,” stated Imam Jallow.
Imam Jallow pledged that the donated funds will only be used for building. Vice President of the Alhaji Mamma Jallow Foundation Bai Dodou Jallow expressed gratitude for the gift and prayed for GACH Boss’s continuing success.
He also mentioned that Dr. Jawara is a real believer who gives freely of his resources to anyone who asks for them.
The most renowned philanthropist on the Gambia’s sunny coast, Dr. Abubakary Jawara, the boss of GACH Global Group, has transformed hundreds of lives with his money.
