President Adama Barrow of The Gambia has expressed gratitude to Mufti Menk for his second visit to the country under his leadership.
He commended Mufti Menk’s efforts in promoting Islamic teachings and values.
Mufti Menk highlighted the significant progress made by Abdullah Aid, a charity organization, in providing essential services such as water facilities, mosques, health services, scholarships, and shelters for 300 communities in The Gambia.
President Barrow acknowledged Abdullah Aid’s crucial role in transforming Gambian communities and improving livelihoods, extending his thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries and the nation. He encouraged the charity to continue its goodwill efforts.
During their discussions, both emphasized the importance of peace and stability as key factors for national development, with President Barrow reaffirming his dedication to promoting peace and unity for the well-being of the Muslim Ummah.
Mufti Menk expressed his commitment to launching more development projects aimed at enhancing social services.
Additionally, he praised President Barrow’s efforts in driving infrastructural development and noted the significant transformation in the country since his last visit.
