The Gambia Experience has kicked off its 2024-25 travel season, celebrating the inaugural flight from Gatwick last week.
The tour operator is offering weekly flights via Enter Air until the end of October, after which Titan Airways will take over with twice-weekly flights until the end of April 2025.
Between mid-December and February 2025, Titan Airways will increase its flights to three times a week.
In addition to the Gatwick routes, The Gambia Experience will also offer flights from Manchester twice a week, running from November 2024 to April 2025.
Passengers on the first flight were greeted at Banjul International Airport by the resort team, British High Commissioner Harriet King, and a local dance troupe.
Prices for a seven-night stay at a beachfront hotel start from £649 per person, with cultural experiences being a highlight of the travel packages.
