The deputy chief strategist of the National People’s Party (NPP) Momodou Sabally has suggested that the UDP youths in Bakau, who switched allegiance to the NPP recently, have chosen a better life in the ruling party over the hardship in the opposition.
In welcoming the defectors, the NPP deputy campaign manager hinted that any UDP member, who does not wish to become a loser in politics, must rally behind President Adama Barrow.
“The UDP is fortunate to produce only one ruler and that is President Barrow. If you love yourself and do not wish to be a loser, you will have to rally behind President Barrow because he is the blessed one. The White people say man proposes and God disposes. People have their wishes but it’s God, who fulfils wishes,” asserted Sabally.
He continued: “Therefore, we are calling on our UDP fellows, if at all their wishes and aspirations are for the peace and development of this country, let them come and join President Barrow. They cannot know UDP better than President Barrow.
“Therefore, the youths of Bakau, who emerged from the climate of anger and heartache and chose peace and development, I would like to say welcome to the party of peace, progress and rapid socio-economic development under the leadership of the most peaceful President, who is heading the affairs of this country, where the youths are very happy.”
