High-profile NPP member Ramatoulie Sowe has declared her allegiance to Kebba Madi Bojang’s unregistered National Development Party (NDP) as the President’s party continues to experience high-level defections from its ranks to the NDP.
So far, four ruling party youth coordinators in the West Coast Region have switched allegiance to the NDP, citing lack of confidence in the NPP as reason for waving the party goodbye.
According to Ramatoulie Sowe in her resignation note to the NPP, she jumped ship with 10 members of her Jalangbang executive.
“It’s me Ramatoulie Sowe of Jalangbang village;chairwoman. From today, on the 1st[ of June, 2026], I resigned my position. I am in the NDP; Kebba Madi’s party with 10 of my village executive members,” she announced.
She further announced that half of her executive has decamped to the NDP, disclosing that 300 members of her 346-member group have also decamped.
