Estranged UDP official Ebrima Dibba has reportedly leveraged his political union with the Kanifing Municipality mayor Talib Bensouda to secure a job for his wife in the KMC Mballit project.
Dibba is one of the proponents of mayor Bensouda’s presidential bid.
He was seen as one of the trusted people of Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, but many UDP supporters were stunned and shocked when it became apparent nearly a month ago that he was among the UDP officials,who were working behind-the-scenes to secure the UDP flagbearer role for Mr. Bensouda.
Dibba could not be reached for comment, but credible sources informed JollofNews that his wife is also on the KMC payroll.
The KMC Mballit project has reportedly employed friends and wives of Bensouda’s political allies.
The Kanifing Municipality mayor has not been responding to our requests for response on whether some of the positions in the Mballit project were offered based on “jobs for the boys”.
