Senior lawyer Sheriff Tambedou has said that he is the lawyer for the foreign investors that were said to have acquired a vast land size at the Tourism Development Area (TDA) without any physical presence in The Gambia.
Tambedou said in a chat to JollofNews on Wednesday that he was with the foreign investors since at the outset, adding that a meeting was held with the relevant Gambian authorities before the application for the allocation.
He stated that the foreign investors are not domiciled in The Gambia but that they have so many investments and properties in the country such as the bank opposite the Kairaba police station and the building, where the Ezone is housed, adding: “They come and go. He was even seated behind the President during the independence [celebrations at McCarthy Square].”
