The men were also accused of receiving D400,000 in Brikama and other places from one Yankuba Darboe to purchase arms in exchange for the release of Mr Cham and Ndow.

Jarju of Kiang Nema and Camara of Brikama have pleaded not guilty and  were remanded in custody by Magistrate Isatou Janneh-Njie of the Banjul court.

  1. Help me I’m confused, This smells of distinctions are freed party buddies friends, what difference will the politicians have ex ministrrs or coup makers and those who remain in prison as mr Tombon Tamba? Do Mr president don’t need any permission from national assembly like Aprc and Gdc or will act like Jammeh ??

    • #peace=, you are very right my friend, you are indeed confused. Lang Tombong Tamba is not in prison. He was pardoned by Jammeh, where were you when that happened? And no, the president does not need the permission of MPs to pardon prisoners. Also GDC and the APRC are not the same as the national assembly. APRC has national assembly members but GDC has none as they have never contested in national assembly elections because the party was only founded before the presidential elections.
