In a significant reshuffle at the heart of the Executive, Alieu Loum has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff at the Presidency of Adama Barrow.
His elevation comes amid reports that former Chief of Staff, Mod K. Ceesay has been reassigned to lead the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment, a move already drawing public attention.
Mr. Loum, until recently served under Mr Ceesay as Deputy Chief of Staff prior to his assignments as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Public Service (MoPS), and Director General of the Department of Strategic Policy and Delivery (DSPD).
In his new role as Chief of Staff, he will oversee coordination of presidential priorities, monitor delivery on national projects, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of the President.
