Prominent Gambian philanthropist Momodou Turo Darboe has reportedly lost on a D23M land deal to a foreign national in a transaction carried out by the Sheriff Division of the High Court.
Sources informed JollofNews that Mr. Darboe paid D23M to acquire the land somewhere around Fajara, but later flew out of the country for overseas treatment.
“While away on health grounds, the land changed ownership and Mr. Darboe was refunded his money upon his return. The property is now owned by a foreign national,” one source claimed.
