Lawyer Ousainou Darboe has stated that UDP official Falang Sonko’s loyalty to the party is incontrovertible.
Speaking in a UDP women’s wing meeting over the weekend, Hon. Darboe asserted that The Gambia’s biggest opposition party never doubted Falang’s loyalty to it and its leader.
“I would like to tell you, Falang, that UDP never doubted your loyalty to the United Democratic Party. No one in the UDP ever doubted that Falang is involved with the affairs of Ousainou Darboe and the UDP. You went to Mile II because of the UDP and Ousainou Darboe. Therefore, anyone saying otherwise is saying something fallacious,” Darboe emphasised.
It could be recalled that former NPP campaign manager now appointed NPP youth wing president, Momodou Sabally, suggested a fortnight ago that Falang’s loyalty now lies in Talib Bensouda.
Mr. Sabally further hinted that Falang was among the forces driving Talib’s alleged lust for greater power in the UDP, hinting that the young mayor, with the support of Falang and others, was machinating to replace Ousainou Darboe on the marble box come 2026.
