A group of young engineering graduates made a triumphant home-return on Monday evening after raising the Gambian flag sky-high in a recent graduation ceremony at the Regional Maritime University in Ghana.
These new graduates, who performed exceptionally well in courses in marine engineering, nautical science, marine electrical and electronics engineering, and mechanical engineering, are now poised to participate in the Gambia’s relentless march towards revolutionizing its maritime sector.
“We are excited to be back home and looking forward to forging successful career paths,” Muminatou Barrow, daughter of Abdoulie Barrow of Qcell and Ma-Binta Touray, told JollofNews when approached for comment.
Muminatou is one of the graduates, whose name appeared on the Dean’s List of Outstanding Students 2024/5.
Meanwhile, the scholarship was facilitated by MOTWI and was bankrolled by the NRA, GRA, GMA, GPA, GIA, GCCA among other government institutions.
