GACH Donates D200,000 Furniture To Fulakunku Arabic School In Sanyang

GACH Sand Mining has donated desks and chairs worth D200,000 to the Fulakunku Arabic School in Sanyang, enabling the school to open its doors for the first time since its construction more than seven months ago.

The chairman of the Sanyang Village Development Committee, Mr. Abdoulie Boto Gaye, said the school had remained idle until the furniture was provided. He noted that while the community made the furniture, GACH funded the project.

“GACH did not just supply desks and chairs for four additional classrooms; they also made enrollment possible,” he said, adding that the company continues to support Sanyang’s initiatives.

Dr. Abubakary Jawara, CEO of GACH Global Group, said the company is committed to helping communities in need. He stressed the importance of Arabic education in strengthening Islamic values and urged the community to support Islamic schools.

Adama Saidy, representing the Fulakunku Arabic School, said the new facility provides a safe space for children who previously risked crossing a highway to attend a distant Arabic school.

The donation is the latest in a series of GACH contributions to education and community development.
