The GACH Mining is planning to go the extra mile in fulfilling its environmental responsibility in Tujereng in a move that could make the village’s beach attractive to both domestic, regional and international tourists.
The Chairman of Tujereng VDC, Mr. Cherno Njie, revealed to Star Tv recently that GACH Mining is not only poised to rehabilitate its mines, but also has an ambitious plan to plant coconut trees on Tujereng beach. The mining outfit, according to Mr Njie, plans to complement this project with the construction of a car park.
“They [GACH] plan to construct a garage at the Tujereng beach. From GACH’s end, whatever they say about environmental destruction is all false. Go to our beach and you will see what is happening,” he stated.
