(JollofNews) – The Gambia government has obtained more than $17 million grant for the funding of the finalization of an educational project, under the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE).
According to a statement issued by MoBSE on Tuesday, $11.9 million out of the total was secured from the World Bank, while $6.9 million came from the Global Partnership for Education Grant.
It said the money is earmarked for the implementation of the Result for Education Achievement and Development (READ) project under the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
According to the release, part of the grant will be used to purchase electronic equipment such as Nano Scanners, Line Printing Machine and 250 KVA Generator for the implementation of the project.
