Gambia Gov’t ‘Withdraws’ Support For Ba’s ICJ Judge Bid

The Gambia government has withdrawn its support for Ba Tambadou’s bid for a strategic role in the ICJ, a highly-placed government official confirmed to JollofNews.

Former Gambian justice minister Abubacarr Ba Tambadou has his eyes set on the ICJ judge position, which is up for election later this year.

Mr Tambadou’s bid has enjoyed endorsement from both the opposition and the government of The Gambia, but credible sources confirmed to JollofNews that the Barrow administration has decided to withdraw its support.
