Reports reaching JollofNews have intimated that the GDC leader Mama Kandeh was at the Presidency on Wednesday, where he was involved in discussion with the Gambian leader.
According to the reports, the GDC leader and President Barrow’s discussion centred on issues of inter-party collaboration and germane matters, but the discussion ended in a stalemate.
Credible sources informed JollofNews that Kandeh and the President had a lengthy discussion on possibilities of the ruling NPP and the GDC working together for the 2026 general election.
“Their discussion could not bear any fruit because Kandeh was making maximalist demands,” said one of our sources.
“The demands that Kandeh made during the discussion were impossible for the President to accept,” another source told this medium.
JollofNews has learned that Mama Kandeh and President Adama Barrow had a similar unfruitful discussion in the run-up to the 2021 presidential election.
