Former international civil servant and official of the United Democratic Party (UDP), Lare Sisay, has challenged the Gambia’s House Speaker to explain the circumstances, surrounding Jammeh’s properties that were not captured in Vol.3 of the Janneh Commission’s report.
“The vol. III is the special listed properties, properties that Yahya Jammeh had. That too is exhaustive. It has lease numbers, sketch maps and it has all sorts of information, regarding what he owns,” explained Sisay in an interview with Coffee Time With Peter Gomez on Thursday.
He continued: “Now, this is where Fabakary Tombong Jatta should come in to tell us those properties that were not captured in these special listed properties, where they are and who owns them because he claimed that part of it is not exhaustive. Now he is the Speaker, Mr Speaker, Speak up.”
He also explained that the Panama Papers have also revealed US$900,000, which belonged to former President Jammeh has not been reflected in the Janneh Commission’s report. Mr Sisay, however, wondered whether this was within the commission’s scope of work.
