Financial and accommodation issues have reportedly presented impediments in the ruling National People’s Party (NPP) officials’ planning to embark upon a tour of Europe.
The NPP has diaspora associations in some European countries but some party officials were “debating” as to whether they can rely on the members of these associations for accomodation if they visit Europe to sell NPP’s agenda.
The Secretary-General of the United Democratic Party (UDP), Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, will embark on a tour of Europe this October, the UDP announced last month.
Sources told JollofNews that some NPP officials had been thinking about a tour of Europe well before the UDP’s announcement of its leader’s planned European tour.
