An official of the unregistered National Democratic Party (NDP) Bai Sankareh has told JollofNews that the proposed political party will defy the ultimatum given to it by the ruling NPP.
Mr Sankareh informed this medium that the NPP’s seven-day ultimatum to the NDP will not be heeded as the proposed political party perfects plans to register with the IEC as a bona fide political entity.
“We are waiting but what I can tell you for now is that we are not turning back. In fact, we held successful meetings in Kanilai and Bantang over the weekend,” Mr Sankareh explained to JollofNews on Monday afternoon. He further explained that the NDP officials have made significant progress in registering it as a bona fide political party.
“We are trying to ensure that all the IEC requirements are met so that we can register the party as soon as possible,” he explained.
