NPP Announces New Executive Line-Up After Leadership Change

The National People’s Party has confirmed a reshuffle within its top ranks, filling key positions following the passing of senior party figure Ba Dembo “Byforce” Bojang and the movement of other officials.

The appointments were approved by President Adama Barrow in line with the party’s constitution and a resolution of the 2025 NPP National Congress. They took effect on Friday, 12 December 2025.

Hon. Musa Drammeh, who had been serving as National Treasurer, has now been elevated to National President of the party. His previous role will be taken up by Ambassador Saibo Tunkara, the former Deputy Treasurer.

Mr. Eliman Ounda Nyang has been appointed Deputy National Treasurer, joining the party’s national leadership structure for the first time.

According to the statement, the changes are part of the party’s effort to reinforce its organisation and maintain unity as it prepares for the 2026 General Election. President Barrow congratulated the new appointees and urged them to carry out their duties with integrity and commitment.

He also appealed to all party structures and supporters to cooperate fully with the new leadership and continue working toward the NPP’s broader goals and development agenda.
