NPP Ousts Youth President & Senior Officials Over Disciplinary Violations

The National People’s Party (NPP) has announced the removal of four senior party officials, including its Youth President, citing serious breaches of the party’s constitution and ethical standards.

In a statement issued Saturday, the party said the decision was reached unanimously during an executive meeting held on Friday, 20th June, at its headquarters in Bundung.

Those dismissed from their positions include:

  • Kebba Madi Bojang – Youth President
  • Lamin Jatta – Co-opted National Executive Member
  • Lamin Touray – Deputy PRO, Youth Wing
  • Sainey Manneh – Regional PRO, West Coast Region

According to the statement, signed by NPP Deputy Spokesman Seedy S.K. Njie, the move comes in response to “actions and conduct… deemed to be in serious violation” of the party’s constitution and internal code of ethics.

While no specific details were provided about the nature of the misconduct, the party emphasized the importance of upholding its internal standards.

“The NPP urges all its members and supporters to remain committed to the core principles, values, and constitution of the Party,” the statement read, adding a call for unity as the party prepares for the next electoral cycle.

The party also expressed appreciation for what it described as “unwavering loyalty and dedication” from its members and supporters, encouraging them to move forward with a “renewed sense of purpose.”
