NPP Suffers Mass Defection In West Coast 

The National People’s Party (NPP) has suffered mass defection in the West Coast Region as key ruling party members in the region tendered their resignation letters to the party’s regional bureau in Brikama.

The President’s party has been dealing with a wave of defection of late as its coordinators and other position holders continued to decamp to Kebba Madi’s National Democratic Party (NDP), which has yet to be registered with the IEC as a bona fide political party.

Musu Camara, then female youth coordinator for Jalangbang village, Ndey Saine, erstwhile deputy organizing secretary, Sally Jallow, former NPP’s deputy treasurer for Jalangbang village, Alasan Camara, co-opted member in the NPP Jalangbang village executive, Isatou Suwaneh, ex-deputy women’s mobiliser, Jalangbang village,

Jali Lamin Mbye, the former PRO of Farato NPP, and Morro Jawla, have all declared their support for Kebba Madi.
