The Kombo coastal community of Sanyang is set to discuss key community development projects with the CEO of GACH Global Abubakary Jawara once he returns from pilgrimage to Mecca.
This disclosure was made by the Chairman of the Sanyang Village Development Committee (VDC), Abdoulie Boto Gaye, in a Star Tv interview earlier this month.
“I spoke with Jawara a week ago about my objectives for Sanyang and God willing after Eid, I, Jawara and the elders of Sanyang, will sit together because Sanyang VDC has projects that are to be executed by GACH. All those are multi-million dalasi projects,” Gaye explained.
He further explained that GACH is set to complete the construction of Sanyang car park, also revealing that the company has signed a contract for the construction of Sanyang central mosque at the tune of D12M.
“The gravel, basalt and miscellaneous stuff for the project have arrived. What we are now waiting for is for Jawara to come over and lay the foundation stone. Jawara has promised to lay the foundation stone once he returns from pilgrimage to Mecca,” stated Gaye, adding,” I discussed the issue of the Sanyang Fandema Football Field with Jawara.
We want to transform it into a mini stadium and I discussed that also with him. We discussed the issue of the VDC building just opposite the school and the VDC building at the taxi garage. We also discussed how GACH can provide year-round sponsorship for Sanyang’s third division team and the female team next year. We also discussed scholarships for grade 12 students from Sanyang in Mathematics, science and law.”
