(JollofNews) – The practice of begging in the streets has been banned in Senegal, says, Interior minister Abdoulaye Daouda Diallo.
The Senegalese Interior minister made this announcement on Tuesday, during a debate session on the 2016 budget of the Ministry of Interior and Public Security, at the National Assembly building in Dakar.
Interior minister Abdoulaye Daouda Diallo was quoted on Senego website saying, “already the Senegalese Constitution has banned street begging but it was not actively enforced.”
“Henceforth, begging in the streets is banned in Senegal and we will work to find solutions to tackle street begging,” claims the Interior minister.
