Sintet To Host Aada Fulbe Ngalunkobe’s Maiden Congress

The first edition of the Aada Fulbe Ngalunkobe congress is scheduled to begin in the Foni Bintang village of Sintet today as efforts are being reinforced to rejuvenate and revitalize Fulbe Ngalunkobeh culture and rich traditions as well as to promote unity.

Aada Fulbe Ngalunkobe is a not-for-profit and an apolitical body that seeks to go back in time in Fulbe Ngalunkobeh culture and age-old traditions with the end-goal of breathing in them a new lease of life as they continue to be critically-endangered.

“We have done extensive engagements to find out where the Ngalunkobeh are settled within Senegambia and its estimated population while engaging fully our diaspora families. While we are members of one big family settled in different places, most of us do not know one another. This maiden Congress will also serve as a reunion,” the President of Aada Fulbe Ngalunkobe, Mr. Ousman Bah, said.

The highlights of the three-day congress include cultural performances, Islamic lecture, and health-screening.
