A Magistrates’ court in the Gambia has today remanded a teenage driver who seriously injured a Year Six student whilst performing a stunt near a school.
Malick Badjie, appeared at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty to reckless and negligent driving.
He was remanded at the Mile Two Prisons by Magistrate Dibba for Sentencing.
Prosecutors say Badjie was recklessly drifting his vehicle within a school zone when he hit Abdourahman Bah, who sustained serious injuries to his legs.
He is currently recovering in hospital where he underwent extensive surgery.
