Tobaski ‘coup plotters’ dragged to AG Chambers

Efforts to have the alleged conspirators of the so-called Tobaski Coup own up to their alleged crime have been gaining momentum, with investigators reportedly scaling up their investigation.
Sources close to the investigation procedures have informed Jollof News that the alleged conspirators were dragged to the Attorney General’s Chambers, last Wednesday, where they were supposedly subjected to further questioning.
Our sources added that they were preceded by the six witnesses who, once again, reiterated their earlier testimonies implicating former Chief of Defence Staff of the Gambian Armed Forces, General Lang Tombong Tamba; former Kanilai Camp commander, Colonel Kawsu Camara, aka Bombardier; and former deputy ambassador of the Gambia to Guinea Bissau, Ngor Secka, of being the key elements behind the alleged plan to topple Yahya Jammeh’s regime, himself a former military Lieutenant who came to power after Major-Kausu-Camaratoppling a democratically elected government in 1994. Jammeh has succeeded a number of alleged counter coups, the aftermath of which have seen many arrests and jailing of suspects.
Our sources however didn’t disclose details as to whether the accused in this latest plot have been charged yet or not with treason, as has since been reported earlier.
General Tamba and co were arrested in some unclear circumstances, and they have since been in detention without the government making any statement about the reason for their arrest, sparking speculations of all sort among the masses.
