Gambia Gets New Petroleum Minister

Fafa Sanyang

(JollofNews)– President Adama Barrow of the Gambia Monday named Fafa Sanyang as his minister of Petroleum and Energy.

Fafa Sanyang has been the commissioner of Petroleum since 2006.

He previously served as director of the Geological Department from 1993 to 2006.

Mr Sanyang obtained BSc in Geology from the University of Sierra Lone in 1989, Masters in Marine Management from Dalhousie University, Canada, in 1997.

He also holds an MSc in engineering geology from Leeds University, United Kingdom. He is a fellow of Geological Society of London, FGS and Member, Geological Society of Africa.

    Moo cows need a rescue too. The A.U/ECOWAS joint wild life rescue will then come to airlift moo cow.

  6. Do we really need a petroleum minister and ministry ? Can’t the geology department be responsible until we hit the jack pot..
    I mean, until we know for sure that we have the stuff in economically viable quantities. I can’t understand my people. What the hell is wrong with us, man.
    Or am I being a bit too casual with a potential gold mine ?
