(JollofNews) – Following reports that president Adama Barrow has given out 11 million to Gambian Pilgrims and the subsequent negative commentries the story has attracted, JollofNews immediately contacted the Gambia Government Spokesperson for clarification.
According to the Government Spokesperson he is preparing a press statement to clarify the nature and circumstances surrounding the reported 11 million presidential gift.
JollofNews anxiously awaits the Spokesperson’s clarification.
Truly as much as I have conditionally the government. I think Adams incompetence cannot be defended. And for his advisers, if he has any, they are not looking after his interest. Why can’t he just announce this money and it’s source at the time of giving. Does this require preparing a statement which could have been done earlier. Bad communication strategy and should sack all his so infomation advisers. They are only undermining him and he does no any better.
Though I most the governments action, it is sometimes difficult to understand the incompetence of Adama Barrow or for that his communication advisers, if he has any. Indeed there is supposed to be a UN media consultant with him. Basically I think his media advisers are serving other interests and he does no know any better.
A simple thing like giving money out Gambian pilgrim does not require preparing a statement. In fact he could have done this at the time he was giving out the money . The matter wold have been talked and argued over and laid to rest. It does not require a so called of Dr Journalist to release such a foolish statement. He should have prepared a press release for him at the time of giving the money.
The media advisers are trying to undermine each other, and Adama should be blamed for crowding his office with this so called advisers with conflicting roles.
You know what, I should mention that during the Jammeh era some group of rich Sarahulleh people in Angola would provide breakfast lunch and dinner during Arafat day and claim it to form Jammeh. That’s not cheap especially when it’s Camel meat for about 1300 pilgrims. The same people suround Adama for all sorts of things
