To those attacking Imam Baba Leigh, I personally will pick him to lead me in prayers over you and your imams any day, any time and anywhere.
You may be more knowledgeable but for me, Knowledge without action is of no use. And when it came to taking action against abuse, Baba Leigh was present. Not collecting money from the evil hands of a killer and a rapist, he was there for the victimized!
Importantly, I know that some of you used to pray for Yaya Jammeh to continue to “rule” Gambia longer knowing very well that he was killing, raping and stealing from Gambians!
Talk is cheap today and everyone can afford it! But when it was expensive, few of those making noise today and claiming moral superiority dared open their mouths! Some feared Yaya more than their own creator!
It’s easy to rail and rant today and assume ones position on some moral or religious pole, but when Yaya was abusing our fathers and mothers calling them witches, I wonder what happened to the moral stance then!
When Yaya was organizing musical jamborees and abusing our womenfolk, I wonder where was the moral and religious outrage! Who are the people that bestowed the tItle Sheikh Nasirudeen on a murderer and rapist? Some of you against Imam Baba Leigh are fighting Yaya Jammeh’s battle! You hate everyone that spoke out against his evil!
Imam Baba Leigh stood up when most of those making noise today minded their business! Yes, even when Ba Kawsu was arrested and tortured, they minded their business. When Imam Sawaneh was arrested, they continued to pray for Yaya!
I guess it’s easy to find one’s moral and religious voice when there is no danger! And here I am thinking all that we should fear is our creator! Apparently, many feared Jammeh’s evil machinery even more than their creator!
One thing I know and I’m certain of, if Imam Baba Leigh knows that I’m being abused in The Gambia, he will speak out against it no matter what danger he faces or opportunities he loses.
He won’t speak out because of my person, he will speak out because I’m Gambian! I’d rather take my chances with him than with some spineless knowledgeable and religious dealer who disappears when the going gets tough!
THE AUDACITY OF SODOM GOMORRAH PRECEPT.
I want people to understand the philosophy of radical neo-liberals, atheist, agnostics and clueless self-proclaimed human rights thumpers. Understanding their psyche will help comprehend where they are coming from and realise they has a different set of values which are base on materialistic precepts. They think life is all about material agrandizement and physical gratification.
Thats why it is abomination and cursed of Allah the creator and hence devine retribution that descended on the city of Sodom and Gommorah. The city that started this alien behaviour and bequeathed its name to the horrendous act. We believe in God and take the injunctions of God seriously.
From religious scriptures, God was so incensed by this life threatening behaviour that He sent two angel to destroy not only the act of homosexuality but the city that initiated it.
They passed by prophet Ibrahim, one of the chief prophets to announce to him the blessing of a son. A reward for his patience and forbearance but a more important quest to procreate and bequeath his spirituality to the next generation.
Ibrahim also got the news that the angels are proceeding to destroy this evil perpetrators of the evil act of homosexuality and he pleaded with the angels to spare them but God will not have it.
He bluntly told ibrahim not to be an advocate and intercessor for a nation of inequity and abomination.
Let’s pose here for a moment, why God was blunt to Ibrahim His friend and patron prophet. This id simply because God created human beings for His worship and decreed that after the first creation, Adam and Eve, humanity will increase by procreation. Overt vexation and provocation of majority can create an unfavourable environment for the minority.
While we empathise with some basic rights of minority and those with fetish sexual inclinations, we cannot lost sight of our religious values and obligations to stand for what is pure, proper, progressive and for common good. If we deny our religious duty in the protection of minority whims and agrandizement, we cannot blame anyone for consequent the Devine retribution.
No one is advocating lynching of sodom gomorrah and kinks in the Gambia, rather it’s our financial benefactors who want to use aid as weapon to subdue us to accepting an alien concepts inimical to our religion.

I have this question for homo thumpers and gospellers, Why don’t you guys protest to Europe to allow polygamy. Its against their values and we respect them for it, sodom gomorrah its against our values so you must respect us for that.
Let any sodom gomorrah come forward and give testimony where in Gambia his or her rights has been violated because of his or her sexuality.
Please respect our values and traditions and desist from creating a hostile environment for all in the Gambia. We have more pressing issues to attend to than waste time and resources mourning out sexuality.
Finally, our religious leaders, politicians and well educated and experience have come out with against imposition of sodom gomorrah concept in the Gambia and its amalgamation into our laws yet the the advocates of Saitan tard us with one brush of BIGOTRY, FANATICISM HOMOPHOBIA and many nauseating adjectives. You are either fanatic, Bigot for humanity and God or you are fanatic for Saitan, kinky gratification and termination of humanity.
