Mai Fatty: “Gambia’s Future Is In The Hands Of My Party”

Mai Ahmad Fatty

Mai Ahmad Fatty of the opposition Gambia Moral Congress party (GMC) has called on voters to back his party in the coming elections.

He said in his party, the principle of morality is emphasized to restore the balance and build a strong nation, with powerful institutions and a citizenry committed to the collective welfare.

He said he has got the reputation of a devoted political leader and servant and no amount of  vilification from political enemies and detractors can change that.

“If you are ingrained in the political history of your country as I am, you live for posterity,” he said.

Mr Fatty added: “I have devoted my life to the public good since my early teen days as a student union leader in school; went to jail, defended and freed many in court from prison and oppression as a lawyer for zero Dalasi, and survived an attempted assassination on my life that left me nursing near fatal wounds from one hospital to another for twenty six months.

“I spent every fortune into the struggle to save our country from dictatorship and took the lead at the political front at great personal risks and that of my family. I will do it all over again. No regrets. I am a veteran of the struggle, battle tested, battle proven with sharp, deep cuts  and scars, still going stronger. I have earned my reputation as a devoted political leader and servant and no amount of senile vilification from political enemies and detractors can change that. If you are ingrained in the political history of your country as I am, you live for posterity.”

The lawyer cum politician who served as President Barrow’s first minister said his record as a cabinet minister and/or special adviser to President Barrow is of stellar performance, regardless of what detractors may want to spin.

“Throughout my over three decades of consistent and persistent struggle for the supremacy of human dignity, one significant thread stands out in all of my experiences: often the people you thought to possess integrity sometimes emerge as the most shallow of characters, most proficient in the art of manipulation and deception,” he added.

“Sincerity and honesty are lonely twins and most abused outwardly by hypocrites masquerading. They usually move fast but lose sustainability with time. We see through a few of them claiming victims of unlawful desire, while they are victims of their own self-induced indiscretions. In reality, their core is made up of manipulation, brazen lies. A few claimed activism (Dalasivism) as “a calling”, in reality its a subterfuge to hoodwink a gullible audience.

“My record as a Cabinet Minister and/or Special Adviser is of stellar performance, regardless of what detractors may want to spin.

“In this world, karma is certain: what honesty, sincerity, the truth and integrity do not offer you, cannot be achieved by the contrary. That is why in our politics, the principle of morality is emphasized to restore the balance. With it, we will build a strong nation, with powerful institutions and a citizenry committed to the collective welfare. Take it from me today: the future of this country is certainly in the hands of GMC. And yes, it is possible!!”

  1. Are you beginning to understand why everybody enslaved, colonized and even occupied Africans land to this day?

Do you see how easy Gambia is making it for China to take over the entire continent?

if two foreign nationals lock up eight people in their own country for four months without using any weapon, what does that tell you about their state of mind?

Are Africans beginning to understand why everybody enslaved, colonized and even occupied their land to this day?

Imagine how easy it would be if China is determined to take over the entire country?

Why and how do these other countries have ownership of our waters, our fishing industry?

How is it they have ownership and say in the tourism industry. They come here and we have to be demeaned and mistreated by them for jobs and land?

When we can never go to there land and do this?

What do you plan to fix this? You see how they are already destroying Gambia for the only interest of their own no respect for our land, people, or traditions.
