Gambia’s vice-president, Dr Isatou Touray, has tested for Covid-19.
According to a statement from the Office of the President, the vice-president remain self-isolation while she recovers frim the disease.
President Adama Barrow who has been in contact with the vice president will also on self-isolation with immediate effect for two weeks.
“The public is reminded that the Coronavirus is real and exists in The Gambia,” the statement said.
“The public is advised to properly use face masks, maintain regular hand washing and social distancing in the fight against the virus. Stay at home and stay safe.”
