A total of 131 people have tested positive for coronavirus on August 9th in the Gambia bringing the country’s case load to 1, 477.
The government said during the period, one person have died after testing positive for coronavirus, bringing the death toll to 33.
The total number of people in quarantine has also increased from 335 a day before to 341.
The number of people who are receiving treatment for the disease have gone up from 1087 the day before to 1,197.
Cases of coronavirus is increasing in the country despite the government of President Adama Barrow imposing lockdown restrictions aimed at curbing the disease.
As part of the measures, freedom of movement has been restricted between 22:00 hrs and 05:00 hrs and all places of worship have been shutdown.
