President Adama Barrow of the Gambia will Wednesday lay the foundation stone for the construction of a 50 kilometre urban road project in Brufut, Kombos South.
The project is part of the strategic priorities in preparation for the OIC Summit next year.
The contract for the road which will be constructed across the Greater Banjul Areai s awarded to CSE/ALFAHD/SSTP (Lot I) and PAVIFORT/ HUTA/ GAMBISARA (Lot II). The road will have street lights drainage and sidewalks.
Once completed, the identified roads will ameliorate the inconvenience associated with commuting within the Greater Banjul Area, boost commerce, and improve the urban outlook of the country.
