The ministry of justice is this week expected to issue letters of suspension to public officials recommended for such by the TRRC.
“They (justice ministry) said the letters will be issued this week,” disclosed a dependable source.
“We are not sure (issuance of suspension letters this week) but that’s what the ministry said,” added another informed source.
Justice ministry officials reached by JollofNews preferred to keep the matter close to their chests.
If it happens though, the issuance of suspension letters to public officials, deemed by the TRRC as unfit for such roles and responsibilities in the public service, will undoubtedly herald another phase of hope for victims in their long search for justice and closure.
