UDP leader Lawyer Ousainou Darboe has lamented that the destruction caused to the Gambia’s capital city by the Banjul Rehabilitation Project is irredeemable.
Hon. Darboe consequently tasked legislators to use the floor of the legislature to dig deeper into the city rehabilitation project.
“We have all seen the devastation they wrought on Banjul.Burrow this issue (Banjul Rehabilitation Project) because this is why you have been elected by your people,” the UDP leader challenged NAMs.
He continued: “Whether APRC, NPP, NRP, UDP…every member of the National Assembly must protect the interest of the land. Get to the bottom of this issue (Banjul Rehabilitation Project) because why was it not the contractor talking about the project’s viability but the minister, who did not execute the project.
“How can the government spokesperson who knows nothing about civil engineering justify the project’s execution. Let’s speak the truth and put our country first.”
Meanwhile, Hon. Darboe made these utterances as he recently addressed a delegation from All Baddibu group that went to his office to present a cash for purchase of a motorcycle for one of the party’s foot soldiers.
